THAT SPARKLE IN THE EYES that Will Conquer the World

The Spring Season Here in the Mountains is Truly Unusual.

While I imagine the beautiful place where you live in full bloom, here in the Dolomites the snow is slowly giving way to green meadows and a slow but progressive flowering. The scent left by this transformation in the air is unmistakable (not always pleasant) and the sound of flowing water contrasts with the emptiness and silence that has fallen upon our valley with the end of the winter season. For some, this is the time to slow down a bit and take stock of a tough season just passed, while for others it means starting over in a new way, different but always in line with their principles and values. Well… I belong to this second category, and at the end of winter, I start doing what I do best, what comes most naturally to me, what my heart suggests, and what I feel I was born to do.

    Finding Oneself and Focusing

In that silence, I find myself completely and begin to enjoy the most intimate part of my work, the part that reconnects me most to my being. This year, I took an entire week where I didn’t tell anyone about my return to the workshop, because I felt an immense need to create without interruptions. It was a wonderful week, a week in which many things were born, a super productive week in which once again I had confirmation of how important it is to stay focused and get distracted as little as possible. Inspiration always comes when you’re there ready to welcome it and work with it.

    I Met Sparkling Eyes

A few days ago, I met a girl who had attended several in-person courses with me, she came towards me and with sparkling eyes said: “Anita, I ordered the new sewing machine…” ….Silence from both of us… heart-shaped eyes… Her joy was so great (as if she had bought a new Ferrari… although she actually bought the Ferrari of sewing machines ????????????) …that you could almost touch it.
I don’t know if she realized it… but with her joy, she ignited mine once again and once again made me understand how much is hidden in a passion and how much can be behind a sewing machine!
A desire that ignites, a craft that is born, wonders that are created… needs to be fulfilled.
In short, I realized that my “sewing” cannot be limited to creating, (if I only did that, I probably would have already quit… quote) but it is necessarily linked to my deepest desire to teach others how to do it… so that sparkle in the eyes can spread throughout the world.

    What Makes your Eyes Sparkle?

I started years ago sharing my passion for sewing with in-person courses. I continued over time with new methods and techniques, also online (The secrets of the sewing machine) and I feel in the depths of my heart a physical need to continue doing it….
I have some really special ideas about it that I would like to share with you soon, but before developing them, I would need your help. Once again I ask for your help, I ask you to tell me what makes your eyes sparkle and what in the world of sewing you would like to learn to do. What are you willing to stay up late for and where do you feel you would need a little help to avoid stumbling…. I have some ideas, but your point of view is what really matters to me.

    So I Ask You this:

Do you sew out of necessity or because you’re really passionate about it?
    What would you need?
    How can I help you?

Thank you in advance for any feedback, because it’s more precious than you can imagine!!
    Happy spring, see you soon!
